Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!  I've loved spending time at home with my friends and family this holiday season.  I hope everyone is having a blessed Christmas this year.  I just had to share my festive jumpsuit I found for this holiday!  I recommend shopping at local boutiques, I always find deals on the cutest pieces you can't find in a department store.  I got this jumpsuit at Loli and the Bean in Tallahassee for $13! I'm kind of obsessed!:)

Perfect Outfit = Perfect Holiday

Happy Tuesday and that means only TWO days left until the best holiday!  Two things I am very thankful for this holiday season are family, this is the first year I've been away from my family so I am unbelievably excited to go home tomorrow, and style.  Fashion is my passion and I am so blessed to be able to express it in my everyday life and studies!
Having the perfect Thanksgiving outfit leads to having a perfect holiday.  As I've said in past posts tshirt dresses are a huge trend right now, and I am definitely on board! Dark colors paired with oranges and reds make a perfect mix for turkey day.  This cardigan is the exact color I was looking for this Thanksgiving and I paired it with one of my go-to tshirt dresses.  Boot socks are an adorable touch to any fall outfit and show that you have it together, well at least your wardrobe together.  This is my perfect Thanksgiving outfit for this year and I hope it sparked some ideas on what you could wear. One more post on this outfit tomorrow then it will be time to feast!

Happy Thanksgiving break and safe travels!

Fall in Florida

Happy Wednesday! We've been having beautiful weather here in Tally, but everyone knows that Florida can have an attitude when it comes to weather.  This peek-a-boo back sweatshirt is perfect for this bipolar Florida weather! I wore this sweatshirt to class today and as I rummaged around campus and it was perfect. So comfy yet so cute! If you're looking for a stylish edge snagging pieces like this can spruce up your wardrobe. Take a chance! If you see something cute and unique (how I felt when I saw this sweatshirt) get it! Your style can be as bold as you want it, whether you want to add an edge to a lazy day or just have some stylish pieces stored up in your closet!
I recommend stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's, they never let me down.  Sometimes as you shop around at the mall you see the same things in every store.  But after a few minutes of sifting through the racks at TJ Maxx you'll have a pile of clothes you're dying to try on!

Cardigans in Combat

It's finally getting chilly up here in North Florida! So time to bring out my favorite cardigans and boots.  This black and white duo is a perfect combo to combat this chilly fall weather.  Prints are always trendy and I'm a sucker for Aztec.  Cardigans are perfect for layering if it's just starting to get chilly or to wear with multiple layers when the winter cold hits.  As a Florida girl stocking up on light cardigans is essential.  You won't die of a heat stroke in them and they're a good switch up from all the tanks and shorts you wear throughout summer!  So, cardigans and combat boots are must haves for fall weather. It is as easy as throwing on a pair of jeans, cami, cardigan, and combat boots then you'll be one of the trendiest girls on the street!

Be Bold, Be YOU!

Being bold can really make you stand out, whether it is through your style or by taking risks and pursuing opportunities.  Personally, I like both.  I love being bold in my style from casual outfits to business professional.  Crop tops are a HUGE trend right now, and I definitely approve of it.  Most pencil skirts have higher waists so I got to thinking, "how would a crop top look with a pencil skirt?"  As you can see they blend together perfectly.
Traditional business women you see have flowing blouses tucked into a black pencil skirt, latte in hand, strutting like there's no tomorrow.  How do you turn that powerhouse, "women rule the world" outfit into something bolder and trendier...?  That's why I'm here, to guide you how to do just that.  I got this super trendy crop top from Banana Republic (they have a ton I highly recommend in taking a look) and paired it with my favorite pencil skirt.  Converting a crop top into something professional is pretty bold, but I don't stop there.  Accessories are key!  I grabbed my gorgeous statement necklace and cork wedges and I was good to go!  My motto is, bolder outfit bolder you!

Time to Mix Young and Professional

Seize the day!  Why wait for tomorrow when you have today.  Now is a time better than ever to strive for your passions.  Being a college student I am reminded daily that I'm still just a kid and have a lot to learn.  I see more people than I should saying what they want to do in the future when they're professionals and established.  I think to myself, "why can't I be professional now? why can't I establish myself now?"  The fashion industry is a toughy to get into but I am determined to shine through it!
To some, an outfit is just an outfit.  But to me an outfit expresses style, and style is everything.  Putting together this outfit aspired me to realize that I can begin my professional journey today and not wait for when the world thinks I'm ready.  In the professional world you have to look a certain way, but that doesn't mean your style can't shine through! This is one of my favorite professional outfits and I am so excited to share with you how to have your style shine through even on professional days!

Thank you for reading and stay close for my details on my stylish professional side:)

Floppy Hats + Fall

Floppy hats and fall go together like two peas in a pod! They are a great statement piece for any fall outfit from a tshirt dress to a basic sweater.  The trick I use for not looking bald in hats like these is putting the hat right on the highest point of the back of my head so you can still see the front of my hair.  If you put it on like a baseball cap it'll look awkward and bald in the front.
Another reason why I love floppy hats is because they can spruce up any plain outfit.  Confession time....while putting this outfit together I could not find the right necklace and the dress looked too plain.  So I went fishing around my closet and my floppy hat was the missing piece! Staying stylish has never been such an ease with having statement and basic pieces like these.

Shop til you drop!! Here's some great hats so take a look and stock up!

Back to Basics

Having basics in your closet can make sleeping through your alarm before your 9 am a lot less stressful!  T-shirt dresses are a basic necessity, especially today because they are a huge trend this fall! You can throw one on and look super cute even though it took you less than ten minutes to get ready.  T-shirt dresses are the definition of easy and breezy, and as it gets chillier you can pair it with a cardigan to keep the fall look rolling.  I love pairing basics together like my favorite gray t-shirt dress (may I say I got it for $15 at TJ Maxx, such a steal!!!) and black floppy hat for a cute edgy look that's minimalist and took minimal time to put together!
Thanks for reading and be on the look out for more posts this week because I'll be showing you more t-shirt dresses and edgy hats I love for this fall!

Love always,

Pleats & Purple

Still obsessing over this shirt! Deep purple is a stand out fall color.  Gazing over all the blacks, browns, and neutrals you can really stand out in a color like this. Pleats give everything a classic edge, going from basic to bold. This shirt is the best of both worlds when it comes to being stylish transitioning into fall. I am all about following trends and wearing what everyone else is loving too, but there is just something about standing out that is overly appealing to me.  "Why fit in when you're born to stand out!" -Dr. Seuss
I always strive to be eye catching whatever season it is, especially in fall.  Confidence is found in clothing.  Always keep an eye out for unique pieces like this beautiful shirt!  If you're shopping around and a shirt or skirt catch your eye and you find yourself debating if it's a little too out there or different, get it!!! Nothing is ever too out there if you love it and feel confident in it.  Be that person who makes others think, "wow I could never pull that off."  Be the one whose style stands out this fall!

It's all about details...

Lets talk about those shoes...definitely one of my favorite pairs! And I got them for under $20 at Old Navy! It was such a deal I felt guilty for snagging them at such a low price.  I got them last spring, Pro tip: the best time to shop for fall accessories is not during the season! Into spring is the best time because everything fall goes on sale.  So I make sure to be on the lookout in the off season to stock up on cute accessories for a steal of a price!
Two-toned pieces have my heart for fall.  I know the commodity is black and brown don't go together, well in this case they most definitely do!  Anything two-toned like these heels or even a color blocked, two-toned black and brown sweater is a go to statement piece for a fall outfit.  It spruces up the basic sweater, pant, shoe ensemble.  You never want to be boring, so in the fall you can stand out with must have two-toned pieces!
Now onto this eye-catching watch and bracelet duo I know you're looking at! These show stopping fall pieces are really what pull this outfit together.  Leather is always a good material to look for when shopping for fall accessories, this pairing of a simple wrap bracelet with a wrap watch add a real bang to this fall look.  Blacks, browns, and golds are great colors to keep an eye out for while on the look out for fall accessories!

Transitioning into Fall can be easy and breezy...

Hello all! Cool breezes and pumpkin spice are back so that means break out your fall attire! Transitioning seasons can be a toughy when trying to be stylish at the same time but have no fear help is here!
An easy way to go about transitioning is to ease in, to sort of mix styles.  Here I have to show you a simple outfit that eases the move into fall.  The trick I use it to blend the soft pastels and colors of summer with darker fall pieces.  The pinks and flowers sit well with fall accents to make it look like you are an expert in styling and are ready for fall.
Throughout the week I will be expanding more on the pieces in this outfit to show you step by step on how to put it together.  Happy Fall y'all and keep reading because I have a ton more to show you!

Thank you and love always,
Kristine Ann
