Perfect Outfit = Perfect Holiday

Happy Tuesday and that means only TWO days left until the best holiday!  Two things I am very thankful for this holiday season are family, this is the first year I've been away from my family so I am unbelievably excited to go home tomorrow, and style.  Fashion is my passion and I am so blessed to be able to express it in my everyday life and studies!
Having the perfect Thanksgiving outfit leads to having a perfect holiday.  As I've said in past posts tshirt dresses are a huge trend right now, and I am definitely on board! Dark colors paired with oranges and reds make a perfect mix for turkey day.  This cardigan is the exact color I was looking for this Thanksgiving and I paired it with one of my go-to tshirt dresses.  Boot socks are an adorable touch to any fall outfit and show that you have it together, well at least your wardrobe together.  This is my perfect Thanksgiving outfit for this year and I hope it sparked some ideas on what you could wear. One more post on this outfit tomorrow then it will be time to feast!

Happy Thanksgiving break and safe travels!

Fall in Florida

Happy Wednesday! We've been having beautiful weather here in Tally, but everyone knows that Florida can have an attitude when it comes to weather.  This peek-a-boo back sweatshirt is perfect for this bipolar Florida weather! I wore this sweatshirt to class today and as I rummaged around campus and it was perfect. So comfy yet so cute! If you're looking for a stylish edge snagging pieces like this can spruce up your wardrobe. Take a chance! If you see something cute and unique (how I felt when I saw this sweatshirt) get it! Your style can be as bold as you want it, whether you want to add an edge to a lazy day or just have some stylish pieces stored up in your closet!
I recommend stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's, they never let me down.  Sometimes as you shop around at the mall you see the same things in every store.  But after a few minutes of sifting through the racks at TJ Maxx you'll have a pile of clothes you're dying to try on!

Cardigans in Combat

It's finally getting chilly up here in North Florida! So time to bring out my favorite cardigans and boots.  This black and white duo is a perfect combo to combat this chilly fall weather.  Prints are always trendy and I'm a sucker for Aztec.  Cardigans are perfect for layering if it's just starting to get chilly or to wear with multiple layers when the winter cold hits.  As a Florida girl stocking up on light cardigans is essential.  You won't die of a heat stroke in them and they're a good switch up from all the tanks and shorts you wear throughout summer!  So, cardigans and combat boots are must haves for fall weather. It is as easy as throwing on a pair of jeans, cami, cardigan, and combat boots then you'll be one of the trendiest girls on the street!

Be Bold, Be YOU!

Being bold can really make you stand out, whether it is through your style or by taking risks and pursuing opportunities.  Personally, I like both.  I love being bold in my style from casual outfits to business professional.  Crop tops are a HUGE trend right now, and I definitely approve of it.  Most pencil skirts have higher waists so I got to thinking, "how would a crop top look with a pencil skirt?"  As you can see they blend together perfectly.
Traditional business women you see have flowing blouses tucked into a black pencil skirt, latte in hand, strutting like there's no tomorrow.  How do you turn that powerhouse, "women rule the world" outfit into something bolder and trendier...?  That's why I'm here, to guide you how to do just that.  I got this super trendy crop top from Banana Republic (they have a ton I highly recommend in taking a look) and paired it with my favorite pencil skirt.  Converting a crop top into something professional is pretty bold, but I don't stop there.  Accessories are key!  I grabbed my gorgeous statement necklace and cork wedges and I was good to go!  My motto is, bolder outfit bolder you!

Time to Mix Young and Professional

Seize the day!  Why wait for tomorrow when you have today.  Now is a time better than ever to strive for your passions.  Being a college student I am reminded daily that I'm still just a kid and have a lot to learn.  I see more people than I should saying what they want to do in the future when they're professionals and established.  I think to myself, "why can't I be professional now? why can't I establish myself now?"  The fashion industry is a toughy to get into but I am determined to shine through it!
To some, an outfit is just an outfit.  But to me an outfit expresses style, and style is everything.  Putting together this outfit aspired me to realize that I can begin my professional journey today and not wait for when the world thinks I'm ready.  In the professional world you have to look a certain way, but that doesn't mean your style can't shine through! This is one of my favorite professional outfits and I am so excited to share with you how to have your style shine through even on professional days!

Thank you for reading and stay close for my details on my stylish professional side:)
