Sweater Weather

       Happy Friday y'all! I just wanted to share this super cute sweater I wore today! The only Style Tip I have for you is an unsaid style rule: have an arsenal of sweaters at your disposal.  Sweaters are a necessity...even in Florida.  If you have an array of good sweaters those days where you're running late it'll be easy and breezy to put a stylish outfit together! Favorite Flannel

      Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a good week, and I am so happy its the weekend!  Flannel season is in full swing, so I'm showing off  my favorite.  I got this peekaboo shouldered flannel from Forever 21.  Flannels are a must have in any girls closet because they can be worn with every style from preppy to grunge.  So today's Style Tip is...stock up on flannels.  They can be worn individually or paired with a tshirt dress or wrapped around your waist for a cute but harsher look.

Pick Your Pattern

       Happy Thursday everyone! We're almost to the long weekend!  I wore this outfit yesterday, and Wednesdays are my longest days.  I have all 4 classes from 9:05 until 4:50 with only short breaks in between...that's every college student's nightmare.  However, I decided that the best way to get myself through every Wednesday this semester is a good outfit.  Whenever I put time and effort into my outfit I look better and feel better.
Style tip: dress to impress.  Everyone finds self-confidence in different ways, and for me a huge way is in my style.  So when I dress to impress I am ready to tackle the day.
      My favorite part of this outfit is my houndstooth scarf.  A mini style tip is find your favorite pattern and rock it.  Everyone has an individual style, colors, and patterns so figure yours out so you can dress to impress!  Houndstooth is my favorite because of its versatility and southern background.  I love southern style and houndstooth is a major pattern of it, and there's ways to incorporate it in every season.

Cardigan Collection

     
         Happy Tuesday y'all! I'm having a love-hate relationship with this Tallahassee weather being from south Florida.  However, I sure am happy to break out my cardigan collection and here's my newest edition! I got this long tribal print from H&M over break for $10! Now that's a deal.  The color garnet is starting to warm up on me not only because it is one of my school's colors.  Garnet is so versatile. I have worn it all through fall and now into winter.  Today I have two style tips for you...#1: when you wear a cardigan have your shirt be one of the accent colors.  For example, my garnet sweater under this garnet/black cardigan.  It makes the whole outfit flow to look extra stylish.
         Now my #2 tip is more of a beauty tip.  When you're trying to be stylish not only do you have to focus on your clothes but your hair too.  Frying, drying, and curling hair every day can kill it and no one wants dead, dry hair.  A tip I use is that if you find yourself putting heat to your hair too often take a break for your hair and its natural oils to recuperate.  I do this by braided ponytails, braided buns, or any twist or braid that works with your hair.  You look just as stylish and will have healthy hair too.

Chilly weather calls for adventure!

       Hi Y'all! Its finally sweater weather in Tallahassee and I am one happy gal.  I went to a local park before classes started and look at that view! The flowers may not be blossoming in this cold weather but the scenery was still beautiful.

      I pull on my favorite skirted sweater whenever I get the chance.  When its finally sweater season sometimes your style can be drowned out, and you get sucked into the boring sweater, boot, jean routine.  Skirted sweaters are definitely a way to stand out while everyone around you is in the same type of outfit too! I am also a strong supported of the bootie trend.  My cowgirl booties are an investment I made years ago because I knew they would be a must-have! One style tip to always follow is: roll your jeans with booties! Following that tip (basically an unspoken style rule) highlights those cute booties you want everyone to notice!
