The Best for Brunch

        Hey y'all! So, brunch is my favorite meal and it should be everyone's cause brunch is the best.  Mid-day omelettes, french toasts, mimosas, I mean could it get any better. Dressing up for brunch is almost as great as ordering pancakes at noon.  Brunch style tip: wedges and shorts are the go-to look for a brunch date.  Here I paired my Lilly Pulitzer shorts and brown wedges.  The next time you're heading to brunch curl your hair, throw on some cute shorts and wedges, and you're good to go!!

Tassel Time

New Glasses, New Me?

 

        Happy Thursday! Who knew a four-eyed dork could be stylish?  I found out I have to ditch contacts and become a glasses girl. I was worried it would kill my style, but I'm in love with my new Versace glasses.  There's no better way to break in new glasses then a perfect outfit to complement them.  Style Tip: dress confidently even if you're a four-eyed dork like me!  There's no shame in glasses as long as you rock them in your own way.  Not only am I showing off my glasses but also my new tassel necklace.  Style Tip: get yourself a tassel necklace because they are SO in style! I love mine, and I also love how well it goes with my glasses.

Flamingo Friday

         Happy Friday!!! Why not spring into the weekend with a fun outfit?  Look at how fun this Kate Spade t-shirt is with the flamingos! Style Tip: you can always dress up a t-shirt.  If you want it to be work appropriate pair it with a skirt, my skirt is from Banana Republic.  However, a nice pair of jeans will do justice for a t-shirt so it doesn't look like you just rolled out of bed in it.  It's summer so pull out your t-shirts and get out there!

Alabama Outings

                       

 

        Hey y'all! I recently went on a trip to Auburn, Alabama and loved it! Alabama never seems to disappoint me. So here's my go to outfits while going out and about in the South.  Style Tip 1: you don't have to wear tiny crop tops with high waisted shorts.  I paired my Pac Sun high waisted denim shorts with a cute boho embroidered top from Forever 21.

                        

 

        Loved my dinner outfit because Style Tip 2: bralettes are always a fun detail! They don't have to be scandalous either.  Mine is from Aerie and my dress is also from American Eagle (and thanks to my bff Maddy who passed it on to me cleaning out her closet for college).  Now let me talk about my shoes because I know that's what you're thinking about...Style Tip 3: go find yourself a pair of lace up sandals because you need them.  They can make a casual outfit pop.  I got mine from TJ Maxx for a great deal.

First Fashion Show

        Hey y'all! I recently modeled in my first fashion show ever, and it was an experience I will never forget!  So, I wanted to share a little play by play of that day.  It was at a bridal expo, so of course the little girl inside of me lit up.  The whole time I was planning my future wedding in my head, everything from flowers to food.
        Hair and makeup was first; the wedding stylists did the models' hair and makeup in front of the Brides to be. One thing I learned was, airbrush makeup is awesome.  Second, if you want an up do you need about 1000 bobby pins.  

                                     

 

        Leading up to the show was the real fun.  Prancing around showing off Camilyn Beth's dresses with my makeup and hair done to a tee.  Another thing I learned was bridal expos have a TON of FREE food, not a good thing for the models.  I was dying of temptation...(I sneaked in a cupcake or two).  

 

        Now it was show time!! I got to walk in three of Camilyn Beth's bridesmaids dresses, the navy Go Go dress, the fuchsia Ampi gown, and the rose Go Go gown.  I actually was not nervous because as soon as I hit the runway I saw my dad, brother, and boyfriend clapping and waving hysterically.  I'm so blessed with a support system like them!  I had the time of my life strutting to the beat of the music and its definitely something I will never forget!

Happy Memorial Day

        Happy Memorial Day y'all!!! I recently got a job at a Kate Spade Outlet and LOVE it.  I also love this dress I got from Kate Spade. Today was a perfect opportunity to be festive and show off my new dress! You're going to see a lot of it.  Style Tip: there's a multitude of ways to wear a dress, even fancier ones.  And I can't wait to show off more outfit opportunities with a dress like this!
